As many of you know, Dominant Boardsports hasn’t always been the local spot for your skate, wake and snow boarding needs. It all started years ago with an idea to help others, by sharing knowledge and experience of our passion, board sports. Camps, lessons and all types of instruction began 5 years before our pro-shop (located at 18059-3 W. Catawba Ave Cornelius, NC) was even open.

Our shop is rider owned and operated, as well as equipped with a knowledgeable staff, ranging in experience and technique.With a grass roots vibe, we thrive on spreading love for the sports and wish to grow with them in our area. Here at Dominant, we love getting the chance to share our experiences with other riders with the same passion.

This allows us to get involved with other entities such as local YMCA’s, neighborhoods and other club’s or group in our area.
Our headquarters for our camps and clinics, are now based in the Lake Norman area, opposed to its location closer to Charlotte in years past. This allows us to almost literally step out our door into our backyard, beautiful Lake Norman.

Our shop is full service in all aspects, for each respectable sport. We can service, repair, adjust or fine tune most boards we run across. Having a full pro-shop with our camps allows us to let you ”ride before you buy” most boards on our walls, which you will be hard pressed to find elsewhere.

We stock our shelves with top brands you know and love, such as Rusty, Fox, No Fear, So Cal and O’Neil in apparel, wakeboards from CWB and Gator Boards and snowboards from Salomon, Flow and Forum. Ride in style on a new Baker, Plan B or even Sector Nine long-boards.

You can fine tune your appearance with our line of Spy, Dragon or Anarchy glasses; throw on your Sanuk sandals and have just enough time according to your Nixon watch, to come join the year round fun at Dominant Board sports, your local oasis for your board sport needs.
